    About Â黨ÊÓƵ Research

    Â黨ÊÓƵ faculty, students, and staff engage in research that is relevant to the mission of the institution.  We interrogate topics and generate knowledge in a variety of subjects, such as health disparities, the use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and advising and global policies that disenfranchise minoritized populations.   

    Sponsored Programs, Research, and Undergraduate Student Training (SPRUST) is an administrative unit within Academic Affairs that seeks to elevate the Â黨ÊÓƵ research enterprise by promoting synergy between research and training across all disciplines, while supporting scholarship and development. Led by the Associate Provost for Research & Student Training, SPRUST encompasses the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and the Student Training Office (STO).

    Dream Makers Summit&²Ô²ú²õ±è;– The 3rd Annual Dream Makers Summit will take place on April 22, 2025. This signature event is a showcase of Â黨ÊÓƵ student excellence in scholarship, creativity, and innovation. The Dream Makers Summit is held annually during National Undergraduate Research Week.

    Collaborations & Partnerships

    Atlanta University Center Research Development Collaborative â€“ The AUC Research & Development Collaborative exists to build synergy and foster collaboration among researchers on each of the member campuses, Â黨ÊÓƵ, Clark Atlanta University, Â黨ÊÓƵ School of Medicine and Â黨ÊÓƵ. The National Science Foundation recently awarded the AUC institutions a $14M cooperative agreement () to enhance the research support and service capacity through the development of a shared resources model that reduce systemic barriers to competitiveness and strengthen the research enterprise within the AUC. This initiative will strengthen the AUC research enterprise and generate a national model for collaboration between emerging research institutions to advance the nation's research agenda by sharing knowledge, resources, and effective practices, while also diversifying the nation's workforce of STEM professionals and leaders.

    HBCU CHIPS Network â€“ The HBCU CHIPS Network is a partnership of HBCU institutions and affiliates with a compelling infrastructure and motivation to support the Microelectronics industry and serve as an advocacy group to petition federal funding agencies for directed funding to HBCUs to execute the mission of the . The HBCU CHIPS Network is envisioned as a research and education consortium that serves as the nexus of collaboration and cooperation between HBCUs, government agencies, academia, and industry. As a member institution, Â黨ÊÓƵ has expertise in STEM education, curriculum development, entrepreneurship training, and community outreach.

     - Founded at Brown University in 1992 as a partnership of 23 institutions, the Leadership Alliance provides training opportunities for underrepresented students to develop into outstanding leaders and role models in academia, business, and the public sector. Today, this consortium has grown to more than 35 partners and has provided research, mentoring, and networking experiences to over 5,500 scholars at various stages of the academic pathway. The Leadership Alliance uses a time-tested model to leverage its collective resources to address the shortage of individuals from historically underrepresented groups in doctoral training programs, academia, and the broader research workforce.

    The Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 â€“ Through a partnership of purpose Â黨ÊÓƵ and the EPA, Region 4 will work collaboratively to advance the development of the full human capital of this Nation, promote equal opportunity in higher education, enhance Â黨ÊÓƵ’s capacity to provide high-quality education, and encourage the participation of Â黨ÊÓƵ in EPA programs. This partnership will advance Â黨ÊÓƵ’s efforts to produce leaders who will promote sustainability, serve as environmental stewards, and advocate for policies that eliminate environmental injustices.
